The Empowered School Project
Restore JOY in Education and Supercharge Student learning!
Got struggles with a lack of student engagement? How about enthusiasm for learning? Got learning gaps? Do you understand the importance of social and emotional learning, but your having trouble fitting it into an already jam-packed day?
Increasing numbers of administrators and teachers are feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. The profession they love doesn’t seem much fun anymore.
But it doesn’t have to be like this!
Invite an Empowered School Project into your school.
Discover the combination for transformation —Just five simple, brain-friendly classroom practices that PREPARE students’ brains for learning, give their learning PURPOSE, and allow their brains to PROCESS what they learn for sticking power. And the practices SAVE classroom time!
- Teach in accordance with how students’ brains develop, function, and learn.
- Reduce stress – for teachers as well as children and youth.
- Support social and emotional learning.
- Increase student engagement in the classroom.
- Foster a LOVE for learning.
- Physically boost brainpower.
- Improve academic performance.

The next cohort begins in January 2026, whenever your district or school begins the second semester of the 2025-2026 school year. Schools and individual teachers may enroll for free as we are still collecting data, but teachers must commit to submitting a weekly two-minute input form.
The project runs for 12 weeks, just in time for students to get great results on their end-of-the-year assessments. The project is easy and fun and designed to absorb minimal teacher time. Once the brain-friendly practices become habits, they SAVE teacher time while they produce amazing results!

What educators are saying:
“I used to get so frustrated that students had such a hard time focusing, but with the Three Ps [PREPARE, PURPOSE, PROCESS practices], engagement happens naturally, and coming to work is so much more fun!” ~ Rosalie, second grade teacher, New York
“In 20+ years of teaching, this fall semester, I’ve had more fun with my students doing the Three Ps than ever before. My students are more positive and engaged, and they’re supportive of each other.” ~ Erin, high school math teacher, Oregon
“I didn’t know if the Three Ps would work with my special education population, but these practices have been amazing. My middle-schoolers who used to feel defeated in their learning have come alive!” ~ Kaitlyn, middle school teacher, multiple subjects, Illinois
The Empowered School Project Includes:
One 90 minute workshop (live or online) where educators learn key things about how our brains work and get to try out FIVE evidence-based, brain-friendly practices that SAVE time while they create a cohesive community, increase student agency for their own learning, and physically boost brain power. That’s less stress, more fun and community, and higher test scores
12 Weeks of support
- The facilitator keeps in touch with teachers and administrators via email every week.
- Teachers give weekly input by submitting a quick weekly Google Form (2 minutes) that informs support.
- Teachers receive a practical reward via email when they submit their weekly form (links to input forms available via text or email, teacher’s choice).
- One monthly 30-minute Zoom meeting (three total) for follow up training, feedback, and troubleshooting, if needed.
- Teachers have constant access to the facilitator via email or text to ask questions, offer ideas, or share news.
- No bots—just real people answering questions and empowering educators.
We’ve all attended presentations that provided solutions to resolve challenges. Afterward, we might DO one, maybe two of the prescribed actions.
The Empowered School Project supports the implementation of all five practices until they become habits. If you engage in an Empowered School project, you will PREPARE students’ brains for learning, give whatever they’re working on a PURPOSE that resonates with them, and allow students’ brains to PROCESS what they learn for easy memory retrieval and application to new material.
In effect, you will restore JOY in education while you improve academic achievement!
